eBay Group Deals
This responsive group buying site featured curated, limited-time, limited stock deep discount deals on an experience designed and built from scratch. Hiding behind a simple and seamless experience was one of the most technically complex experiences to develop. Deals need to be triggered by a specific number of buyers for the deal to activate. Deals would last one week but most often sold out within an hour.
Business Objective
Extend the AU deals brand and grow revenue with limited time, deep discounts and free postage products capitalising on the ‘group deals’ trend of the time. Achieve AU business targets by surfacing local, quality inventory.
Customer Problem
Deals customers wanted reassurance that the products they purchased were good quality (vs. Chinese products on the rest of eBay), free postage and value for money. This was the deal value proposition to our customers.
